A variety show held in aid of charity was a huge hit, organisers have said,

Extra seats had to be found for the Amble Variety Show at St Mark’s Church, which was organised by Coquet Churches Together.

A varied programme, with songs of all sorts, poetry, monologues, fiddle playing, piano playing, puppets and some comedy, drew in the crowds.

And the event also raised £1,000 for Christian Aid. Organisers are delighted with the outcome and thank all those who took part and attended.
