Police are appealing for information after a window was smashed and a door damaged at a Northumberland school.

The incident happened between 5pm on Friday, March 27, and 12.30pm on Monday, April 6, at Alnwick’s Lindisfarne Middle School.

Neighbourhood Inspector Paul Truscott said: “This type of damage is mindless vandalism and will not be tolerated. We’re carrying out regular patrols throughout Alnwick to help prevent any further offences and to offer reassurance to local residents. We’d urge anyone with information about those responsible to speak to us.”
