Use of residential annex as holiday let gets the go-ahead
An application to use a residential annex on the north Northumberland coast as a separate holiday let has been given the green light despite objections.
The bid, for Farneholm, 72 Harbour Road, Beadnell, was recommended for approval at last Tuesday’s meeting of Northumberland County Council’s planning and performance committee.
When a scheme to demolish a swimming pool/garage to create space for a residential annex was approved in May 2009, a condition was attached that it had to be used as ancillary accommodation to the main house.
This has now been removed so it can be used as separate holiday accommodation for couples/small groups.
