From then until the August meeting, there were five reported crimes – one theft, two damages and two assaults.

And from then until the start of this week, there were eight crimes – three thefts, two public-order offences, one assault, one damage and one dangerous dog.

PC Morton reported that most of the incidents had been dealt with, with the exception of two more recent incidents which officers are still looking into.

“Normally we see this at this time of year because we get a big influx of people coming into Seahouses,” he said. “Now we are hoping it will start going back down again.”
