A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while another is seriously hurt, following a collision which has closed the B1340 in north Northumberland.
At around 1.45pm, two motorbikes and a white Renault Megane were involved in a collision on the B1340, near Beadnell.
Emergency services attended and a male motorcyclist, in his 50s, was taken to hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries. The second motorcyclist was taken to hospital with a serious injury, but it is not thought to be life-threatening. The driver of the Renault Megane was not injured in the collision.
The road has been closed to allow officers to carry out inquiries and for the recovery of the vehicles involved. Officers are also on hand to direct the traffic down alternative routes.
