UPDATE: A1 still closed after HGV fire
A lorry which caught fire on the A1 in north Northumberland, closing it in both directions, is being recovered.
Both north and southbound lanes of the A1 are closed at Mousen Bends, near Belford, following the fire at about 2pm today.
Police said the vehicle is currently being recovered and a cleaning team is at the scene.
Diversions are in place.
