Two people reported in difficulty in water at a burn in Northumberland
At 1.17pm, Humber Coastguard requested the launch of Seahouses inshore lifeboat to aid the pair at Budle Bay, near Bamburgh. The tide was rising and it was to be a very high tide today.
However, just as the crew was launching, the Coastguard cancelled the launch, as further information had been received that the two people had managed to get safely ashore.

Hide AdA Seahouses RNLI spokesman said: "This was not a waste of our time, if someone is in difficulty, it is essential to dial 999 immediately and inform the Coastguard, so that the various rescue services can be mobilised quickly. It was a very high spring tide today and the unwary could easily be caught out. We would far sooner be called then cancelled, rather then delayed when it may be too late to help. It all underlines our safety slogan of 'respect the water'. We are pleased the two got ashore safely."
