It isn’t the first time that vandals have targeted premises in Alnwick town centre.

Earlier this summer, several businesses had windows smashed by yobs during an overnight spree of damage.

That episode of vandalism came little more than a month after police launched Operation Augusta, to fight back against criminal damage and anti-social behaviour in the town, following a crime wave including bin fires, graffiti and other window damages.
