Two crashes near Northumberland village in 24 hours

Two cars crashes have taken place near Newton on the Moor within the space of 24 hours.

At just after 8.10pm, on Wednesday, February 5, police received a report, from the fire service, of a vehicle having left the road, between the Newton on the Moor and Longframlington, ending up in a field.

The female driver was taken to the RVI for treatment, however, her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

And at 11.55pm today, a Ford Ka is believed to have skidded on mud on the road between Longframlington and Swarland.

The crash involved damage to the vehicle only and arrangements were being made for its recovery. and wedge itself within the shrubbery at the roadside. The driver was uninjured.
