TV star becomes a friend of Kielder

A new scheme to enhance England’s number one visitor attraction has got off to a star-studded start with the support of a TV architect.

George Clarke is the first North East star to make ‘friends’ with Kielder Water and Forest Park.

The Park’s new Friends scheme will go towards protecting and developing its amazing Northumberland environment, home to Northumberland International Dark Sky Park – the largest Dark Sky Park area of protected night sky in Europe.

George, who designed the Sky Den treehouse at Calvert Trust Kielder, spent a lot of time in the Park while filming for his Channel 4 programme, George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces.

From £2 a month, Friends will benefit from exclusive events, offers and promotions throughout the Park.
