Trophy delight for young farmers’ club

Coquetdale Young Farmers’ Club tasted trophy delight at the Northumberland Young Farmers’ Club annual general meeting.

The group was awarded the McLaren Griffin Bowl for the most improved club, after its membership numbers doubled during the year.

This small but very active club also hosted the County Rally in the summer.

Meanwhile, The Kershaw cup went to Berwick, who had the highest increase in membership from the previous year.

Will Comber, from Alnwick, received a stockjudging award, crowned the Best Junior in the North and Best Novice.

The AGM was well attended and held at Kirkley Hall, Ponteland.
