TRAVEL: Excited to see Wooler again

In my planning for an upcoming trip to the UK, I noticed the article in your paper about the decision to build a replica of the fountain in Wooler, originally built in memory of William Wightman, my great-great-grandfather.

I heard stories of the fountain when I was young and came for a visit to Wooler in 1992. At that time, I heard about its dismantling from a woman in a store on the main street. I also purchased some paintings and postcards depicting the fountain.

Today, we fly out from Toronto, Canada, and will be arriving in London tomorrow morning. Then we are taking the train to Edinburgh, renting a car and then heading down to Wooler for the weekend. It will be exciting to visit that lovely area of the world again, and, maybe we will see a fountain in the middle of the town!
