Roadworks underway in Wooler with traffic lights and diversions in place

A main route through a Northumberland town is closed for the next three days due to roadworks.

Northumberland County Council is carrying out resurfacing works at The Peth in Wooler, the main approach to the town centre from the south.

The road is closed from March 24-26 from 7.30am to 5pm with a diversion in place via Church Street.

Traffic lights are in place in both directions on the A697 and on Wooler High Street and motorists are advised that there may be slight delays.
