Accident causing delays on A1 north of Morpeth, close to Hebron

An accident on the A1 north of Morpeth is causing delays.

It is believed a tractor and a trailer were involved in a collision on the northbound side of the carriageway, between the junctions with the A697 and the A1068.

Lanes have been closed so the road can be cleared.

Traffic is therefore backing up but the debris is expected to be out of the way by noon.
