A1 reopens following collision between Alnwick and Berwick in Northumberland
The A1 has reopened in both directions in Northumberland following an earlier collision.

National Highways reported the closure between the B1340 (near Alnwick) and the A1167 (near Berwick-upon-Tweed) around 1pm.
The collision resulted in a large oil spillage across the carriageway.
Emergency services including Northumbria Police attended and highways staff cleared the road.
The road was reopened shortly after 2pm.
