TRAFFIC: Consider the health impact
Unless it has been misread by many we have met, it would appear that up to 100 HGVs could be daily running from the Quarry to Ratcheugh, (Northumberland Gazette, October 20).
We wonder whether the impact of this on peoples’ health has been considered as it is now clear that diesel fuel is far more dangerous than originally believed.
Indeed, plans to reduce and eventually ban this are now being considered by government.
