The Countrywide Great Tour, a unique cycling challenge circumnavigating the coastline of Britain by bicycle, rode into Alnwick last Thursday night.
The event consists of 64 days of continuous cycling and more than 6,700km of mixed terrain staying as close to the coastline as possible.
Last Thursday’s Stage 27 left Musselburgh in Scotland at 7am and crossed the border into Northumberland before ending the day at The Alnwick Garden.
The following morning, the tour departed from Alnwick and headed south to Hartlepool.
