Toilets are shut after drainage problems

The toilets at Craster Tourist Information Centre have been closed temporarily because of a drainage issue.

Northumberland County Council has said that it will resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Alternative toilets can be found at Boulmer which are open 24 hours a day.

Meanwhile, Coun Jeff Watson has said that the disabled toilet by Warkworth’s beach car park has reopened, following a spate of vandalism.

The facility can be used by anybody and will be open from 9am to 5pm each day.

The male and female toilets at the site are still out of action because of damage by vandals.

Police presence has been increased and the issue is set to be discussed at Warkworth Parish Council’s meeting in September, with the county council, which operates the block, present.
