Pupils from the Duke's Middle School in Alnwick had a real taste of the Tudors as the era of Henry VIII was brought to life.

The King and his six wives were all present and correct while activities included making candles and creating nosegays.

Gazette photographer Jane Coltman was there and you can watch a video on our website.
