In a packed meeting and in the presence of district governor Tony Wortman and his wife Elizabeth, Till and Glendale Rotary Club celebrated the end of its first year with the formal handover to its new president Bob Pannell. Rotarian Tracey Young becomes president elect, with Rotarian Guy Richardson following on in the vice-president slot.
President Bob then had the pleasure of inducting one of the first recruits into Rotary this year as Del Hughes joined the club (pictured).
The club plans a major member recruitment campaign this year together with a growing emphasis on service to the community. Included is the project to forge closer links with younger people through Glendale Middle School and others. And, of course, the club intends to enjoy itself.
It moves to the Fenton Centre at the end of July as its new venue.
