Three people taken to hospital after crash

Three people have been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Northumberland this afternoon.

The incident happened on Harbour View, in Cambois, at around 1.20pm and involved a black VW Golf and a white Peugeot Boxer van on Harbour View, Cambois,

Northumbria Police, the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) and the Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene, as was the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Both occupants of the VW Golf were taken to Newcastle RVI for treatment for life-threatening injuries. The occupant from the van was taken to hospital in Cramlington with minor injuries.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of any of the vehicles involved prior to the collision, as they may be able to help officers with their inquiries.
