Police are hunting thieves who stole a generator from a farm near Alnwick.

The red Honda 3KVA generator was stolen from a shed on a farm north of the town between 8am on Sunday, March 8, and 8am the following morning.

Officers are warning people to be aware if they are offered any new clothing for sale cheaply after two men forced the doors at Morle Country Store in Hexham at 10.30pm on Tuesday, March 10,and stole a quantity of clothing.

They are also warning farmers to beware of scrap vans trawling property after two metal field gates were taken from a farm near Kiln Pitt, Hexham, overnight on Sunday, March 1.
