WHERE can you find welly hoying, swishing, dog agility, a choir, competitions and four cows talking about mega-farming this month?
Perhaps you would think it might be at a Young Farmers’ bash or an adventurous village show, but who would have thought the members of the WI would be hoying wellies?
But this is the wonder of the WI in the 21st century and these are just a few of the events to be staged at the County Day to be held at Glendale Middle School in Wooler on Saturday, October 29 from 10am to 4pm.
At this day out for all the family, there will also be demonstrations and competitions showcasing the diversity of craft, culinary and art skills of members from groups across the county.
On top of this there will be a range of stalls featuring fudge, produce, books, cakes and lots more, alongside tea, homemade scones and delicious cakes.
Relax and enjoy the choir or have a good giggle at four opinionated cows ruminating on life on the farm.
Admission to WI County Day is just £1 per person.
