THANK YOU: People can be so generous

I set out to raise as much money as possible for the Newcastle Healthcare Charity (child bereavement) in memory of my nephew Guy Comber.

My current total is over £3,000 and I can’t tell you how happy I am and how grateful I am to everyone who has donated.

I would like to say thank you to a couple of people – Wayne Hilton of hilton-media.com for designing the All4Guy logo, Alnwick Rugby Club for hosting the event, Susan Comber and Ros Reay (and their kitchen helpers) for making all of the food, the awesome band My Nasty Gran, Alnwick Round Table for a fabulous contribution, and the three lads who played a great part in our Live Blind Date, clips of which can be found at www.ianmcallister.co.uk

Also to everyone who donated a raffle prize or financial support.
