THANK YOU: Kindness after bus trouble

I would like to say thank you through your letters' pages.

As most people who use public transport know, buses can be very unreliable, and I recently experienced this again.

After waiting over half an hour for the X15, which had a flat tyre, a lady from Felton approached me and my friend and asked where we were going because she was getting a taxi to Felton to avoid waiting another half an hour for the next bus. As it happened, we both were travelling to Felton and agreed to share the taxi.

When we arrived at Felton, the lady refused to take any payment off either my friend or I for the journey.

Unfortunately, I didn’t ask her name so I thought that I could say thank you to her through the Gazette.
