The pair will now go on to a district final where they will compete against other singers and musicians from all over the North East in February. And they will be on home turf, as the event will be held at the Duchess’s High School.

Later in the year there will be a regional final which will include winners from the North East of England and the whole of Scotland, followed by the national final in The Midlands where the best of the best will get to showcase their talents and battle for a prestigious prize in this diverse and exciting event.

Marion Long, from The Rotary Club of Alnwick, described it as a fantastic competition.
