Teenager airlifted to hospital after fall

A teenager was airlifted to hospital this morning after a fall in north Northumberland.

The 18-year-old suffered a neck injury in the fall at Otterburn.

The North East Ambulance Service requested the help of the Great North Air Ambulance at 8.45am.

The man was assessed and treated by the doctor-led team before being taken by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. The flight took 13 minutes.

His injuries were described as non-life threatening.
