Teaming up to give printing workshops

A north Northumberland gallery has launched a series of workshops for people interested in print making.

Linking up with Newcastle-based Northern Print, the Old School Gallery at Alnmouth will be hosting monthly sessions over the next few months.

Led by one of Northern Prints expert tutors, participants will be introduced to a range of print making techniques and creating their own print editions.

Sessions will take place on a Thursday evening and full days on Saturdays in a relaxed small group with all materials provided.

Evening sessions run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm while full days are from 10am to 4pm.

The first sessions will take place on Thursday, February 25, and Saturday, February 27, with beginners lino print. Reduction lino print workshops will be on Thursdays, March 10 and 24, and Saturday 19.

In April there will be mono print sessions on Thursdays, April 7 and 21 and Saturday 23.

May is printing by hand, on Thursdays 19 and 16 and Saturday 29 and June is woodblock printing on Thursdays 9 and 23 and Saturday 25.

The last sessions take place in July with collagraph and drypoint on Thursdays 14 and 28 and Saturday 30.

Evening workshops are £35 and day sessions are £70, which includes coffee and cake.
