Police are appealing for witnesses after a suspected road-rage incident in Amble.

It happened between 7.45am and 7.50am on Monday, November 9, when an altercation broke out between two drivers - one in a taxi, the other in a Transit van - as they waited in traffic at Hope Farm Cottage. The man in the Transit van is believed to have got out of his vehicle and assaulted the taxi driver.

Inquiries are ongoing and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101 extension 69191, quoting log number 142 09/11/15. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
