Tavern complete league and cup treble in highly successful season
Amble Tavern FC have had an unbelievable season, winning the treble within Morpeth Sunday League.
The club have gone from strength to strength over recent years, and have topped the past campaign off by winning the George Cave Cup, Morpeth Sunday League Division 1 and the Northumberland FA JustSport Sunday County Cup.
At the last Morpeth Sunday League annual general meeting the Tavern also picked up the Fair Play Trophy after receiving only two yellow cards all season, and won Team of the Year 2015/16.
This is the first time any club has ever managed to win the Northumberland County Cup in the Amble/Alnwick area.
