Take your teddy for a free steam train ride

Aln Valley Railway is hosting a Teddy Bear’s Picnic at its Lionheart Station on Sunday and Monday as part of its bank holiday weekend fun.

There will be free train rides for children bringing along their teddy bears and teddies ride free as well.

There will be various items of fun for both children and adults, including the popular ‘Hunt the Teddies’ competition for the children with prizes of chocolate bears for all those who take part.

Other attractions include steam trains rides with a steam locomotive will be operating throughout the weekend, plus a tombola and other competitions.

The fun starts at 10.30am on both days and the last train will run at 4pm bringing the event to a close.
