Winning the toss home skipper Andy Dover had no hesitation into putting the Etal men into bat as with all the rain that had fallen it was looking like a green seamer.
Jack Bagness and Liam Hindmarsh both batted well scoring 16, on a day when stroke making was never easy and a heavy outfield meant boundaries were few and far between, but Tillside lost 3 quick wickets to leave them 50-3.
Ross Hindmarsh also with 16 took the score with Jake Birkett to 72 before Tillside again lost 3 quick wickets to leave them at 74-6 from 28 overs. Andy Dover bowling a fine spell finishing on 4-25.

In reply Corbridge made a decent start and had 40 on the board before Sim had Atkinson trapped in front for 19.
Young Doug McKendrick was putting the bad ball away though and with danger man Chris Fowler they took the score to 71-2 from 20 overs. Ben Toulson and Luke Dickson fought back with the ball and in the next eight overs all but won the game for the Etal side as they reduced the home side to 87-8, Ben finishing with 4-36 and Luke with 3-30.
