Inquiries are ongoing into a suspected arson in a north Northumberland village, which saw fire crews from other areas tackle the blaze.
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) received a call about a fire in an unoccupied premises on The Peth, in Wooler, last Friday at 6.48pm.
Appliances were dispatched from Belford and Berwick, supported by another from the Scottish fire service.
A NFRS spokesman said: “The fire appliance based at Wooler was not available and so could not be dispatched. Fire appliances were in attendance within 19 minutes and dealt with the fire.
“The Wooler fire crew, although reduced on this occasion, continues to provide a vital service to its communities and strives to make sure the fire engine is available at all times.
“NFRS can assure the community that all avenues to encourage recruitment of further personnel continues to be a priority for the service.”
