A MAN believed to have stolen £3,000 worth of designer sunglasses from an Alnwick store last month is thought to have returned to the same shop to commit a second theft last Thursday.
Staff in Boots, on Bondgate Within, got a good look at the offender, who made off with a pair of Police sunglasses.
He is described as being in his late fifties, possibly early sixties, around six feet tall with grey-white short hair, stubble and a ruddy red ‘craggy’ complexion.
He was also wearing metal-rimmed glasses, a dark navy-coloured suit and light-coloured shirt with no tie.
Insp Sue Peart said: “The same man is believed to be responsible for an earlier theft of sunglasses, which was of high value.”
