Colette and Tristan Cooper, from Newcastle, got married against the incredible sky caused by ex-hurricane Ophelia at the start of last week, as it moved across northern England.

Tyneside-based photographer Sean Elliott captured the couple among the mist and against the tinged sky, creating some extraordinary and unique pictures.

Writing on his Faxebook page, Mr Elliott said: ‘Another amazing wedding and another wedding with unusual weather, did you see the sky this afternoon, it was nothing short of biblical!

‘I was presented with dreamy sunny orange fog – amazingly atmospheric; Great Gatsby meets Tess of the d’Urbervilles!’
