FARMING in the county will come under the spotlight later this month, during an illustrated talk at an Alnwick tourist attraction.
The town’s Barter Books will host the event on Monday, January 23, with a lecture by Angus Collingwood-Cameron entitled Farming in Northumberland Past, Present and Future.
It will cover topics such as the history of farming in the county and the turning points during that time, what lessons can be learnt from the past and the direction of farming in the future.
The talk starts at 7.30pm and will be followed by a debate.
Entry is £5, with wine and cheese afterwards. To be assured of a seat, peopleare advised to arrive early, with doors opening at 7pm.
