Sport Relief returns with mile events in Northumberland
Parks and leisure centres, including Druridge Bay Country Park, will host one-mile events on Sunday, March 20.
The colourful, cheerful and eager ‘milers’ will be doing their bit to make a difference to people living across the UK and the world’s poorest communities.

“There are also opportunities to swim, with event distances to suit hopefully everyone, whether you’re sporty or not.
“From little ones with their mums and dads to runners up against the clock, there’s something for everyone to make themselves feel proud on this special weekend of sport.”
The Druridge Bay Country Park Mile starts at 10.30am for one-mile runners and 11.30am for three and six-mile runners.
Participants are encouraged to arrive at the Visitor Centre before 10am to take part in the warm-up.
