An eye-catching community history project, led by Alnwick’s Bailiffgate Museum, will be unveiled this weekend.
The proggy textile wall hanging, created by Barresdale residents and friends of all ages, will go on show.
Textile artist Margaret Kenny has helped with the creation, which is part of the museum’s Our Streets, Our Place project.
The unveiling will take place at Alnwick Community Centre during Saturday’s event, which runs from 1pm to 3pm. There will also be free activities for children and adults, including Victorian-themed events, and youngsters will be able to dress-up in clothes from the period.
People can bring their own photos of the area and share their memories about life in Barresdale.
These will feature in an exhibition – Barresdale in Living Memory – at the museum, from July 7. For details, call 01665 605847.
