Police are linking the theft of three vehicles from different farms in north Northumberland early yesterday morning.

A silver Land Rover Freelander Estate was stolen from a farm near Lowick and a blue Audi A3 was taken from farm near Belford.

And, as reported on this website yesterday, a green Land Rover Discovery 90 TDS with white roof and steel wheels was stolen from a farm just off the A1 at Adderstone near Berwick at 2.30am yesterday. It had a defective nearside, rear light and the rear number plate light was also out.

Police believe all three crimes are connected and are asking farmers to be extra vigilant as it appears the vehicles were stolen without keys.
