Spate of damage to cars in Northumberland town

Police are investigating three incidents of cars being damaged in Alnwick on one night, which they are treating as linked.

The incidents all took place on Saturday, June 11, with one occurring between 9.30pm and 11pm on Upper Barresdale when a Ford Transit van had its windscreen and front quarterlight windows smashed.

At 10.45pm, a VW Sirocco parked on a drive on Clayport Street had its windscreen smashed then at 11.45pm, a Mercedes car parked on a drive on The Limes, Willoughby Park, had its rear window smashed.

Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the area of any of these three incidents. They are treating these incidents as linked and are asking for anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious or who has information about these incidents to ring police.
