A song about The Friendliest Port

Brian English has unveiled the track, Amble Town.

The catchy song describes Amble as lovely, says there is lots to see and praises the community spirit.

The video, filmed and edited by Andrew Bryson Photography, shows Brian in places around Amble, including the war memorial and Harbour Village.

The video has been viewed more than 16,000 times on Brian’s Facebook page in the space of a week.

Brian said: “I love Amble, it is a special place. A few years ago, Amble resident Helen Simpson suggested I do a song about the town, so now I have done one. Sadly, she recently passed away, before I released the song, but I think she would have loved it. The response to the song has been fantastic. I would love it to go viral.”

The track was produced and recorded by Ally Lee at Alnwick’s Mill Studios. Isabel Morrison is on the piano.
