Schools are full of Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland and Where’s Wally as children celebrate World Book Day.
The annual event, which this year marks its 20th anniversary, gives youngsters the chance to dress up as their favourite characters in a bid to encourage them to discover the joy of books and reading.
And they’ve certainly got into the spirit of the day, if the pictures you’ve been posting to our Facebook page are anything to go by.
Children have gone to school dressed in an array of costumes, from witches to wizards, Beatrix Potter to Peter Rabbit, and Snow White to Fantastic Mr Fox.
The classics weren’t ignored either, with Hamlet and Oliver Twist putting in an appearance.
Take a look at some of our reader pictures in this slideshow and check back later this afternoon for another batch.
