Fifty leading tourist guides from around the UK will be visiting the North East, with stops at several iconic Northumberland attractions.
The event runs from Sunday to Wednesday and the itinerary will include Kielder Observatory, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, Alnwick Garden and some of the county’s coastal areas.
It has been organised by Laura Rhodes, of Newcastle, and Kate Walton, from Durham, who are both professional Blue Badge tourist guides in the region.
Other landmarks on the agenda include Durham Cathedral, Hadrian’s Wall and the Angel of the North.
Laura said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the outstanding attractions, the beautiful countryside, breath-taking landscapes and cultural treasures in our region.”
