A new take on an old way of telling the Christmas story is hitting Wooler this festive period.
Shops and houses on the High Street are featuring an Advent Calendar in their windows.
Each day in the 12 days leading up to Christmas a new ‘window’ will open, revealing a different aspect of the Christmas story.
With a QR code interactive symbol on the poster, there’s a link to a quiz, more information about the story and a reflection on the Glendale Crossing Places (GCP) website.
GCP community minister, Rev Bill Eugster, said: “The recent report that only 33 per cent of schools in the UK have a nativity play challenges us to remember what the Christmas story is really about.
“This is one way of telling it while making window-browsing more interesting for shoppers.”
