SHARP shooters and fervent fund-raisers are being invited to take part in an event that will raise valuable funds for people with blood cancer.
Bright Red, which aims to improve the lives of people in the North with illnesses such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, is staging a clay pigeon shoot and an informal charity dance on Saturday, September 24, at Bywell Premier Shooting Ground in Felton.
Over the course of the day there will be target practice for beginners, a full day of shooting and tuition from qualified coaches, followed by a prize ceremony.
After the shooting, the dance will include live entertainment and a charity auction that features prizes such as a three-day winter break to Holy Island and Newcastle United platinum tickets.
The shooting will run from 11am to 5pm and the dance will start at 7pm with a champagne reception. Tickets are £200 per four-person team to include food and refreshments. Entry to the ball is free for competitors or £10 for other guests.
Anyone participating in the event will need to have a full shotgun licence.
