Setting the standard

The Alnwick Branch of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Association recently acquired a new branch standard and a dedication service was held at St Paul's Church, by kind permission of Fr Oliver Keyes.

It was conducted by The Rev Canon Tony Meakin TD, former Padre to the 7th Battalion The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers and former vicar of St Paul’s, assisted by The Rev Cecil Dick TD, former Padre of the 6th Battalion, whose headquarters were in Fenkle Street from 1975 until 1999.
