Sessions aim to raise dementia awareness

Two more dementia-awareness sessions are being held in Amble this month, as part of the town's push to become a Dementia Friendly Community.

The first meeting is on Monday, February 15, from 3pm, at the Radcliffe Club.

This will be followed by the second one on Friday, February 19, at St Mark’s URC Hall, Wellwood Street, at 7pm.

The sessions are free and informal and will equip people with some knowledge to help people living with dementia.

The sessions, open to everyone, are especially useful for those who meet the public as part of their job.

The Dementia Friendly Communities programme focuses on improving inclusion and quality of life for people with dementia.
