'Serious' collision between motorbike and car as Northumberland road closed

Northumbria Police was called to Green Lane, Ashington, at around 7.45am on Friday.

Emergency services remain at the scene as of 9.30am. Diversions are in place for drivers while work continues at the scene.

Green Lane has been closed between Kenilworth Road and Wansbeck Road.

A police statement added: “We received a report a motorbike had collided with a stationary car.”
