Sean took on 24/7 charity challenge at Co-op stores

A member of staff from the Co-operative took on a challenge to visit 24 stores in seven hours in aid of charity.

Starting in Rothbury yesterday Sean White visited stores in Alnwick, Amble, Hadston, Widdrington, Lynemouth, and more ending in Newcastle.

The event was one of many taking place in The Co-operative’s businesses

across the country on July 24 – 24/7. Staff marked the date to illustrate how caring is a 24/7 job, by doing fun, imaginative and daring things to raise funds for young adult carers.

Co-operative staff a were attempting to raise £247,000 on one day, in recognition of young adult carers, who have to care for their loved ones unpaid 24-7.

Terrie Oakshott, Fundraiser for Carers Trust, said: “Sean’s is really pushing himself for our charity with this challenge.”
