Many of the members of North Sunderland and Seahouses Women’s Institute were on holiday for this month’s meeting on July 7 at the social club.
However, 16 did attend, plus one visitor.
Mrs Walton opened the meeting and Sandra McFarlan read the minutes of the previous meeting. These were approved and signed.
A report of the AGM held in Liverpool this year was read out to us. This was lively and interesting.

Thursday, September 15: The group meeting will be held at Seahouses. Belford Group will host this and the Hot Shots are to provide the entertainment. There will be a pooled supper.
Wednesday, September 28: An outing is planned to Seaton Delaval Hall and Boundary Mills. Cost £13.50 leaving at 9am
The evening’s entertainment was provided by our very own aromatherapist, Marjorie Turner. She gave a practical facial, including cleansing, mask and massage. We were shown how to relax the muscles, incorporating the neck and shoulders, thus releasing any tension. She also went around the various members present, showing how to give such a treatment – for home use. The raffle for ‘a bell’ was won by Jean Dawson, Sandra McFarlan and Brenda Tinker.
The next meeting will take place on Thursday, September 8.
